Custom Sportswear MOQ Explained

MOQ means minimum order quantity. For custom sportswear it exists because cutting, printing setup and sewing lines are inefficient at tiny volumes. It should not be used to force every customer into the same number.

Product-level MOQ on this site

Ablution Sports lists MOQ per product from a central configuration. Many kit categories start at 10 sets. School and college programs typically start at 50 sets because size runs are wider. OEM and private label may be “discuss your requirements” when the program depends on labels, packing and forecast.

Samples are not the same as bulk MOQ

A proto or size-run sample can be produced before the bulk MOQ is met. Sample charges and timing are confirmed in the quotation. Do not assume a free sample policy that has not been written down.

Colorways and sizes

MOQ is often counted per style. Three completely different designs can behave like three production jobs. Many sizes inside one design are usually easier than many designs at tiny quantity. If you need four colorways, ask whether MOQ applies per color.

If your club is below listed MOQ, still send the brief. Sometimes the style can ride with another production of the same fabric, and sometimes it cannot. The honest answer belongs in the quote, not in a homepage promise.
